Rookie Running Backs

In-depth fantasy outlooks for all of the top running back prospects entering the 2019 NFL Draft. Outlooks include player analysis, college stats, combine metrics, best team fit, fantasy ceiling and floor analysis, player comparisons projected draft round, projected draft team, highlight videos and full-game film.

Qadree Ollison – University of Pittsburgh

Ollison joined the U of Pittsburgh in 2015, joining Steelers standout James Conner in their backfield. Conner tore his MCL in their season opener that year and was later diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma during the rehab process, opening the door for Ollison to see the field. The freshman back would go on to blow up for a 212-1,121-11 line while filling in.

Tony Pollard – University of Memphis

The second Memphis back drafted (Darrell Henderson – 3.06) in the 2019 NFL Draft. While Pollard was technically drafted as a running back, played slot receiver at Memphis while spelling Henderson as a change-of-pace back thus is too versatile not to be labeled an “offensive weapon”.

Devin Singletary – Florida Atlantic University

Once u pop the fun don’t stop G. My favorite running back in this class, depending on the landing spot. That’s a BIG “depending” on the spot, however. Reminds me a lot of Kareem Hunt, not big or really fast, but great vision, balance, shiftiness.

Alexander Mattison – Boise State University

As somewhat of a surprise, the Vikings took Alexander Mattison as the 7th back off the board with the last pick of the 3rd round. It was the 38th pick of the round given compensatory picks kicking in, so he was more of an early 4th rounder than 3rd, but regardless, the Boise State product will head to Minnesota to backup Dalvin Cook after Latavius Murray signed with NO in free agency.

Karan Higdon – University of Michigan

I am absolutely shocked that Karan Higdon ran a 4.49 40-yard dash. It’s not as impressive given his stature (5’9-206), but still in the 68th percentile. I say I’m shocked because on film, I’m not sure I watched tape of a player that moved less explosively than the Michigan running back. Man, am I not a fan of this guy.
